Studio S Theatre Shows

Many of the families who have bought their children to  Studio S since the pandemic  have sadly, not yet had the opportunity to experience a Studio S live performance in the theatre.

Our theatre shows are wonderful occasions,  very much loved by our performers of all ages and by our audiences. We thought it would be nice to post a few pictures of previous Studio S shows on this page over the coming weeks, which we hope will bring back wonderful memories for all those who were involved, and to give those who have joined Studio S during the pandemic some idea of what they can look forward to!

 The shows will come back...

C O M I N G    S O O N!

We have started to plan our next theatre show which will take place in Summer 2022!

Studio S Theatre Performance – ‘Unforgettable’

March 20th and 21st 2020

We are very saddened that our only option now is to postpone our production of 'Unforgettable' this weekend. We will re schedule new dates as soon as it becomes possible to do so. Please keep an eye on this website and our Facebook page, as we have updates we will share them with you.

We will process ticket refunds as soon as we possibly can.

Refunds will not be processed by Jenni, but by our Finance Team. Please bear with us as we do have staff off sick, in self-isolation and on furlough. We will get through the refunds as quickly as we can,  we will refund 100% of all ticket purchases.

We have had a lot of wonderful raffle prize donations, for which we are very grateful, thanks to all of you. You now have two options:

1. Let us know that you would like the raffle prize returned once the Studio re-opens for business.

2. Let us know that you are happy for us to retain the prize you have donated, for the next show raffle.

On each visit to the theatre, we have to deal with children who have lost items of clothing , shoes, lunch boxes and bags etc.

We would request that in order to avoid this, all   belongings, particularly Studio S T shirts / hoodies and shoes are clearly labelled with the owners name. Our Chaperones would greatly appreciate your assistance in this!

Parking in the vicinity of the theatre is limited. There are car parks at both ends of the high street, which are easy to find.

Consent Forms are available  for completion on our website  and

must be submitted on or before February 28th.

Please note that children wishing to take part MUST be able to attend on Thursday 19th, Friday 20th and Saturday 21st March.

We do not charge for performance costumes.

We appreciate that the costs for professional dance costumes can be considerable, and we strongly feel that every child should have the opportunity to perform. Instead, we provide costumes at no cost to our customers, but we ask that everyone who can, contributes to our ‘Costumes Raffle’. We ask that raffle prizes are donated, however small, and we sell tickets at both performances, with the raffle being drawn by the children after the interval on the Saturday evening show. Our raffle does not entirely cover the costs of our costumes but makes a significant contribution.

What to Wear

We ask that children arrive dressed in the following clothes and then show costumes can be worn over the top of them:

• Plain black leggings or track suit bottoms

• Plain black vest top or T shirt

• Comfortable trainers with socks

• Ballets and tap dancers; please bring ballet and tap shoes (named please) on all three nights.

• Dancers cannot perform in any clothing bearing a logo. Studio S does not keep a stock of plain black clothing but basic supermarket clothing is more than adequate.

• It is important that all other clothes worn by children are named, particularly Studio S T-shirts and hoodies, as there are often lots of clothes left behind at the theatre.

Hair below collar length:

Hair for the Dress Rehearsal: must be tied back

Hair for shows: Children must arrive with either two French plaits, OR with washed, brushed hair in good time for Studio S staff to plait it.

Make up

We do not apply typical stage make up to any Studio S children. We do however, apply a minimal amount of lip gloss, blusher and a lot of glitter! This is something that the children really enjoy. Please let us know well in advance if you do not wish your child to have any make up / glitter applied.

Dates and Times

Compulsory Dress rehearsal: Thursday 19th March 4pm - 7.30pm

Please arrive at Audley Theatre at 4pm for children to be signed in, children can be collected / signed out at 7.30pm

Performances on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st March:

Teens and children aged 7-11 years must arrive by 5pm please, younger children aged under 7 years may arrive later,  up to 5.30pm if preferred.

All children will need to be signed out after the show. Please allow us at least 15 minutes to get all of the children off the stage and to re-unite them with bags and coats before they are available for signing out.

Show Rehearsals

All those wishing to take part in our performances MUST attend two compulsory rehearsals on Sundays 8th and 15th March. The charge is £2 .50 per child and the sessions will take place as follows:

3-7 years 11am – 1pm

7-11 years 12 pm – 3pm

Teens 2pm – 5pm

Headliners and Improvers 5pm – 6pm

Headliners 6pm – 8.30pm

Child Protection and Safeguarding

We comply with the requirements of all relevant bodies in terms of safeguarding and are regularly audited by the relevant licensing authorities in Staffordshire and Cheshire.

Our objective is always to keep Studio S children safe and happy. We have a team of licensed Chaperones who will provide entertainment for the children backstage, and the children often find this element of taking part in a theatre performance very enjoyable.

Parents / Carers will be asked to sign their children in to us on arrival, and to sign them out at the end of the performance. This will, inevitably, involve standing in a queue, and we must request that no member of the audience leaves their seat before the curtain closes at the end of the performance in order to be the first in the queue. This disrupts the performance for those taking part and those in the audience.

The children understand the reasons for this, and we hope that parents / carers will too.

Please support us in all the measures we take to keep your children safe !

Dancing is hungry and thirsty work!

All those performing should arrive with the following:

• A light meal – similar to a typical packed lunch

• Several snacks

• A water bottle with the childs' name on.

The Management of Audley Theatre do not permit any photography by the theatre audience. We will take informal photographs of the children on stage during the Dress Rehearsal and in other areas back stage which do not include dressing room areas. We will make our pictures  available at the Studio to families for viewing and / or purchase. By completing the Consent Form, you automatically give permission for your child to be included in Studio S photographs, please tell us in writing before the Dress Rehearsal if you do not wish for images of your child to be used for Studio marketing purposes / social media posts.
